i wear my heart on my...front door! a wreath of love

ps.
i hate to throw things away. i mean. hate it. i like organizing. i like goodwilling. i like shifting things around. but i can't throw things away. honestly, i'm afraid one of these days i'm going to wind up being that house from american pickers. the house where you just know there's clutter and junk inside just by looking at the outside-all of my treasures piling up. *giush.

the other day the boss saw a few things in our house that looked less than spiffy and he suggested that i throw them away. *gulp. i couldn't do it. i mean, these were awesome things. one of them was this super great heart wreath. yes. it looked like crap. my mom gave it to me a few years ago when because it was faded and i probably should have thrown it away then, but i didn't.
so instead of throwing this precious gem away (man, i do have a problem), i thought i'd give it one last chance for survival.
i spraypainted it.
and freaking crap.
i'm glad i did.
it worked beautifully.  i attached some scrap fabric that i had lying around. and together, they make a brand new wreath. maybe next year it'll meet it's maker in the dump. but for this year, it's mine. all mine.

What a great wreath! I love this color of blue and it's a good change of pace from the usual reds and pinks we see for Valentine's Day!

The color combination is so pretty, and love the teal and red color together. I like that you repurposed the wreath. I never would of thought of spray painting it. Looks so new and happy. Thanks for sharing your inspiration at Sunday's Best!
