for the new year, i've given myself the challenge to repurpose most of my decor for each holiday. i'm trying to really only bring in a few items for each holiday. believe me, this is necessary on many levels. and it might help my marriage stay nice and healthy. not that the boss has ever complained about my hoarding tendencies (*ahem).
so for valentines (and as a result the lady's birthday party...details to come soon), i naturally had to re-use this tree.
here it is, disguised as a halloween tree.
here it is in its thanksgiving
tree form
it even made a brief appearance as a christmas tree
(holy hannah, how did i forget to take a pic of it? it was cute. i mean, super cute. baaaah. kill me now.) but please, let's be honest. this tree really has valentine's roots.
can't you tell?
i mean, as far as re-purposing goes, there's not much to it. and
eventually i hope to get a bit more creative with it. but this is what
my buffet needed. bright colors. simple. fun.
total cost:
vase: already owned.
branches: thank you, neighbors.
hearts: 2 packs of christmas ornaments on clearance (.30/pack)
heart filler: $1
freaking crap. do we have ourselves a tree or what???

wa ha!! I think your tree is fulfilling it's purposes well! Perhaps its should be rested over Easter? thinking filling a bucket with eggs and stinking in the tree might not works so well...just thinking!
Very cute! :)
